Serra Roma

Serra in Roma is an emporium of decorative pieces, glassware, jewellery painted Ostrich eggs to a 'Camel Laila' larger-than-life figurine from the Animal Collection, Tom's Company. It is filled with fabulous curiosities which headline this wunderkammer store of curatorial finds.

Now in its third generation, the family-owned store has been here for more than 100 years on Rome's famous via Margutta. Digging through the archives, Serra served the Italian Royals, with even Mussolini attending several openings throughout its long history.

The styles may have changed, but the family approach of creating and sourcing objects of beauty has served them well. It is one of those places you hope will never change; it is delightfully lost in time and the showrooms, designed by architect and designer Giorgio Pes, brim with fascinating pieces.  You need and edited eye, but you will surely leave with an item that will be cherished and handed down for generations.
