Sustainable Luxury in Mallorca

The seeds are collected and then spread by local environmental activists, helping to maintain Mallorca’s strong, vibrant ecosystem. Son Brull is an 18^th century Jesuit monastery sublimely formed into a luxuriously stylish and increasingly sustainable 5* hotel and spa. Their sweeping 40-hectares of land are nestled at the base of a stunning rural valley and the hotel itself looks out over rare 300-year old olive groves.

By maintaining balance in their natural landscape through refusing to use any GMOs or pesticides on their fresh, seasonal produce, and by keeping an organic, sustainable ethos throughout their vegetable garden, land and menu, Son Brull have been certified by the Consell Balear of Agrarian Producció Ecològica, and were also recently awarded the gold distinction for sustainability by Travelife.

They continue to grow heirloom fruits and vegetables and their restaurant menu changes as a result of Head Chef Andreu Segura’s strolls throughout the garden, gathering what is on offer, noticing what wonders the land has brought forth and considering what might make the guest’s hearts sing.
