The Aficionados (TAS) does not own or manage any hotels, houses and collaborators featured on www.theaficionados.com (the “Website”).

These Terms and Conditions apply to anyone (User) who accesses the Website. The Website contains information on hotels, collaborators and partners (collectively termed the “Partners”), general information and online purchasing of magazines and vouchers.

As a content provider, information and descriptions provided on the Website is based on the Partner’s own assessment providing TAS with access to information in trust.  Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate, TAS does not accept any liability for errors or misinformation and thus not responsible for content, any omissions or typographical errors referring to the Partners.  No warranty, express or implied, is given that the information provided on the Website is error free.  To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TAS excludes all representations, warranties and conditions relating to the Website and the use of the Website including, without limitation, any warranties implied by law of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and/or the use of reasonable care and skill.

TAS provides the User with web links to Partners in good faith and is not responsible for any content and TAS has no direct control, responsibility or liability for them, including any loss or damage that may arise when using the links provided.

The copyright in the Website and all the material on the Website (including without limitation the text, computer code, artwork, photographs, images, music, audio material, video material and audio-visual material on the website) is owned by TAS and its licensors and all other rights are reserved.

All trademarks (including, but not limited to, The Aficionados™ trade mark, reproductions of the mark and logo), copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights in the materials on this Website (as well as the organisation and layout of this Website) are owned either directly by TAS or by its licensors.  Nothing contained on the Website should be construed as granting by implication, estoppels or otherwise, any licence or right to use any of the trademarks without the prior written consent or such other party that may own the trademarks.

Data transfer into other data carriers, even part of it, or its use for a different purpose to the one designated here, is only permitted with the explicit permission of TAS, unless such transfer is explicitly permitted by applicable law.

For the avoidance of doubt, users must not adapt, edit, change, transform, publish, republish, distribute, redistribute, broadcast, rebroadcast or show or play in public the Website or any material on the Website (in any form or media) without TAS prior written permission. However, the contents of this Website may be downloaded, printed or copied for your personal non-commercial use.

Liability

Each User agrees to fully indemnify TAS for any loss, damage or claim arising from any misuse of the website or any service included in or accessible from the website or any breach of these terms and conditions. TAS reserves the right to amend and discontinue the Website at any time

To the extent that the Website and the information and services on the Website are provided free-of-charge, TAS will not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature.  TAS will not be liable to you in respect of any losses arising out of any event or events beyond our reasonable control.  TAS will not be liable to you in respect of any business losses including (without limitation) loss of or damage to profits, income, revenue, use, production, anticipated savings, business, contracts, commercial opportunities or goodwill.  TAS will not be liable to you in respect of any loss or corruption of any data, database or software.  TAS will not be liable to you in respect of any special, indirect or consequential loss or damage.

Governing law and place of jurisdiction

All legal relation between User and TAS shall exclusively be governed by and in accordance with English Law and subject as such to the jurisdiction of the Courts in England & Wales.

The Aficionados Vouchers (TAV) Voucher

The following terms and conditions shall apply when you purchased TAV.  Please read these terms and conditions carefully and your acceptance of these terms and conditions is signified by your purchase of the TAV.

In these terms and conditions, "you" and "your" include the purchaser of the TAV and individual who is lawfully being given the TAV by the purchaser.    

The Aficionados (“we” or “our”) is the trading name of White Line Hotels Ltd whose registered office is at 37 Butlers & Colonial Wharf, London SE1 2PX England.

TAV can only be purchased via our online shop at www.theaficionados.com.  Your access to our website is subject to legal terms governing usage of our website.

We act solely as the issuer of the TAV and are the legal owner of each TAV issued by us. Upon redemption, the legal contract for the provision of benefits and any other services is made with the member Hotel that the voucher is being redeemed at.

TAV can only be redeemed at participating member Hotels which are listed on our website.

Each TAV features a unique serial number and valid for 12 months from date of purchase, subject to the TAV being validated. You must validate the TAV by sending an email to contact@theaficionados.com.  If the TAV is not validated within the 12 months, it will automatically expire and be unredeemable.  Validation must be completed before travel to any of the participating member Hotel.

Once validated, bookings must be made and used within the 12 months and may not be redeemed beyond that period unless we have given our prior written consent to extend the validity of the TAV.

TAV are issued in Euros.  When redeeming the TAV at a member Hotel, the TAV value will be redeemed by the member Hotel in their local currency at the exchange rate as determined by member Hotel and used against the billable amount at the payment stage.

Member Hotels must be advised about the use of TAV including the serial number at the time of making the booking and the TAV must be presented to the member Hotel upon arrival.

TAV may be invalid if cardholder information provided at the time of booking is incorrect or if the payment is declined.

TAV cannot be redeemed against multiple transactions or at multiple destinations.

Your reservation must be booked directly with the Hotel via Hotel's online booking portal or via voice, email reservations. Travel can only be booked to a maximum of 3-months advance to the arrival date.

TAV are redeemable against the total cost during the stay at the member Hotel, including accommodation as well as 'in-house' incidental expenses such as spa and restaurant subject to confirmation by the member Hotel. Some hotels lease out their restaurant and spa experiences, check with Hotel staff upon arrival.

TAV cannot be exchanged for cash. No change will be given if not wholly used in the settlement with the member Hotel.

If the TAV does not cover the full cost of the total stay at the member Hotel, you must pay the balance to the member Hotel in cash or by a valid credit/debit card.  The member Hotel’s terms and conditions shall apply and you may be required to provide a valid credit card number at the time of making the booking in order to guarantee the reservation.

TAV redemption is subject to availability.

Lost or misplaced TAV can be replaced subject to the submission of proof of purchase or if you were not the purchaser, a written confirmation from the purchaser that you being the intended recipient of the TAV.

TAV are delivered to the address supplied by you. We will send the package via registered post and has to be signed for as proof of delivery.  We accept no liability for damaged goods, loss and or theft during transit.

TAV sales and these terms and conditions are subject to the laws of England and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes.

We have the right to change the terms and conditions at any time and without notice.
