Brand Intro

Polished Polish cool sums up Fashion designer Magda Butrym, whose label launched in Poland back in 2014, causing a fashion wave.

Products

Butrym has a canny eye when it comes to the female form. By juxtaposing the romanticism that comes with femininity, she balances low-key with heritage and the delicate with the minimalist, producing a truly unique look. Her style contradicts with ease: floral dresses with leather jackets, edgy asymmetry paired with romantic ruffles, off-the-shoulder long sleeved tops with dreamy frills that balance out a jeans look and structural yet oh-so-pretty handmade crochet crop tops.

Her asymmetrical cuts favour exposed shoulders, thigh slits and open backs that imbue the pieces with sensual movement. Feet are not overlooked either, with white leather mules and gold leather sandals putting the glam back into footwear. Each piece is hand crafted in Poland, too, from the finest materials.

Story

Fashion designer Magda Butrym is an alumnus of Warsaw’s International School of Costumography and Clothing Design. After graduation in 2014, she decided against a worldwide takeover, and started small and beautiful with Magda launching her namesake label in the Polish capital, far away from the traditional fashion cities of London, New York, Milan and Paris. She also showcased her designs through the medium of Instagram, a clever move for a fledging brand to hone the aesthetic virtually before unleashing onto international markets with brick-and-mortar shops. Her designs stood out in the somewhat over-saturated medium of Insta, catching the eye of editors, influencers and buyers, which in turn lead to increased demand internationally. It’s not difficult to see what attracted them – Magda created a mood and sensibility through the imagery of lookbooks and cultural references which piqued the interest of many a fashion-savvy style hunter.
