Saas Fee, known as the Pearl of the Alps, is one of the most renowned locations in the Saas Valley. Surrounded by glaciers, it’s an ideal starting point for the area’s high altitude trails. In winter, the ski region has 150 kilometers of pistes of all levels of difficulty, and is linked by twenty-two railways, including the Metro Alpine (Alpine Metro), which takes passengers to the world's highest revolving restaurant.

More adventurous visitors can also cross the Alpine Gorge, while beginners can walk the many paths and trails. But don’t worry if hiking isn’t your thing: the Saas valley also has a 70-km-long network of mountain-bike tracks, and during Musica Romantica, the classic music festival weeks, you can experience exceptional music in a unique environment.
