Max and Me: Magical skincare that glows from within
We at The Aficionados love a good story, especially this happy ending which resulted in a collection of organic skincare. Max and Me’s pure face oils, masks, balms and facial mists are all mixed in micro-batches in a garden studio in Vienna, where the wilds of Austria of within reach to provide pristine ingredients including wildflowers, herbs and berries amongst further afield antioxidant-rich worldly regions.
Max and Tanja, the creators and alchemists behind the Max and Me skincare range met and fell in love, channelling their positive energy into creating an assemblage of magical elixirs. Both brought up in the all-natural rhythm of rural life, they each learnt from a young age the healing energy that comes from plants. Merging this knowledge with their devotion for each other, they literally bottled their love to spread around, every aspect of Max and Me comes from a place of positivity, healing and vibrancy – who doesn’t need a few drops of that every day?
Described as ‘high-vibe treats’, Max and Me’s creams and potions make use of natural ingredients sourced from New Zealand to Corsica, home grown in Austria and found in Thailand. Tanja and Max journey around the world to find plants and natural ingredients that have high vibration – and the impassioned duo feel that these energy-rich plants communicate more easily with our bodies, transferring their healing and harmony to skin. Think of it as a light from within, created by modern-day apothecarists Max and Tanja.
The results are individually handmade products that are all deeply nourishing, calming and cocooning – like giving your skin a healing hug. Mentally, the nurturing quality of the ingredients help with tension and stress, working towards a rekindling of everyday joy.
Standout hero products from the range include a face wash and mask made with enzyme-rich manuka honey mixed with Balinese cacao, Thai mangosteen fruit and kaolin clay, which ensures a high quota of antioxidants as well as being suitable for stressed or troubled skin.
Aptly named ‘I am the Light’ facial oil promises a golden glow, channelled from the vibrancy of argan and rosehip oil and scented with frangipani. Magic ingredient, cypriol, obtained from the holy water of India’s most sacred rivers sends this facial oil into the realms of mysticism.
Whether your skin requires soothing, your body craves positive energy or you simply need some love, Max and Me’s products will bring joy back into your skincare routine.
