This unique state, most famous for it's skiing, is a rich mix of Northern Italian, Austrian and Bavarian influences. A particularly verdant region filled with lush green meadows, charming cottages, and a more relaxed pace of life, Austria's Tirol region has long been a home to dreamers and writers alike. 19th century statesman and writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote of Tirol, “Here I have finally found a place of quiet, a place of peace, the like of which I could have only wished for.” With more than 500 peaks over 3,000m and more than 600 glaciers along the main alpine ridge, this area boasts not only a singular landscape but also a variety of activities, from hiking and rock-climbing in the warm summer months to alpine and cross-country skiing and tobogganing in the cold bright days of winter.
Built into the original Medieval town walls of Hall, this former guilders’ house of traditional Tirol style has stood here for well over half a century with records dating back to 1450. Today, behind the rose petal façade, lies the small Kontor Boutiquehotel.
